چکیده
Haemonchosis is a gastrointestinal parasitic disease in sheep caused by Haemonchus contortus. The biggest economic losses due to this are mortality, decreased production, stunted growth, and low body weight. existence of resistance synthetic anthelmintics causes the development research on alternative treatments herbal be strategic step. This study aims analyze effect Areca catechu contortus vitro so that Lethal Concentration 50 (LC 50) can determined. was divided into 9 groups. Group I treated with 2.5% A. crude aqueous extract; group II 5% III 7.5% IV 10% V 12.5% VI 15% VII 17.5% extract, VIII negative control (0.9% NaCl) IX positive (Albendazole). mortality H. recorded every hour until worm 100%. results were then analyzed using Reed Muench method. Based test extract against H.contortus it cause worms an calculation result 11.11%.

Anthelmintic activity of Cymbopogon citratus against Haemonchus contortus.
Parasitic nematodes are of major economic importance in livestock. An alternative for the control of parasites is phytotherapy. This study evaluated the efficacy of Cymbopogon citratus decoction (CcD), C. citratus essential oil (CcEo) and citral against Haemonchus contortus using in vitro egg hatch test (EHT) and larval development test (LDT) and an in vivo test using a Meriones unguiculatus (g...
متن کاملIn vitro anthelmintic effects of Spigelia anthelmia protein fractions against Haemonchus contortus
Gastrointestinal nematodes are a significant concern for animal health and well-being, and anthelmintic treatment is mainly performed through the use of chemical products. However, bioactive compounds produced by plants have shown promise for development as novel anthelmintics. The aim of this study is to assess the anthelmintic activity of protein fractions from Spigelia anthelmia on the gastr...
متن کاملIn vitro anthelmintic activity of some Mediterranean plants against Haemonchus contortus infective stage
The use of bioactive tanniniferous plants seems a promising alternative to control infections parasitic nematodes of the gastro intestinal tract in small ruminants. Both in vitro and in vivo studies, have confirmed the anthelmintic properties of several forage legumes, or tropical and browse plants. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the in vitro anthelmintic (AH) effect of 3 Tunisian...
متن کاملIn vitro anthelmintic activity of Tunisian fabacae (Hedysarum coronarium L., ecotype Bikra 21) against Haemonchus contortus
The use of bioactive tanniniferous plants was suggested as an alternative to control gastrointestinal nematodes (GIN) infections in small ruminants. This study aimed to evaluate the anthelmintic effect of acetonic extract of Hedysarum coronarium (Ecotype Bikra 21, sulla) as fresh or dried biomass (hay) in the infective larvae (L3) of Haemonchus contortus. The larval exsheathment assay (LEA) was...
متن کاملImmunoprotection in sheep against Haemonchus contortus using its thiol-purified excretory/secretory proteins
Excretory/Secretory antigen was prepared by culturing live adult worms of Haemonchus contortus in RPMI 1640 medium at a concentration of 50 worms per mL in a culture-flask at 37 ˚C for 24 hr and the culture supernatant was used as antigen. The E/S antigen was purified by thiol-sepharose affinity chromatography. On western blot analysis, it was demonstrated that thiol-purified antigen showed a s...
